Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ApexLog AU ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ApexLog AU (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
The App collects GPS location data during active track day sessions for the purpose of lap timing and session recording. Location data is:
• Collected only when you start a session
• Used solely to detect start/finish line crossings and record lap times
• Stored locally on your device
• Not transmitted to our servers or any third parties
The App requests both foreground and background location permissions. Background location is required to continue lap timing when the screen is locked during a session.
The App requests Bluetooth permissions to connect to compatible RaceBox GPS devices. Bluetooth data is:
• Used only to receive GPS data from your RaceBox device
• Not stored beyond the active session
• Not transmitted to our servers or third parties
If you choose to create a community account, we collect:
• Your chosen rider name or display name
• Email address (used for authentication only)
• Profile photo (if you choose to upload one)
• Rider details you voluntarily provide (location, bike details, weight)
Session data including lap times, track information, setup configurations, and notes are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is not automatically uploaded to our servers unless you choose to share it via the Community features.
If you use the Community features, content you post (setup shares, discussion posts, replies, and images) is stored on our servers and visible to other users of the App.
If you grant notification permissions, the App generates an Expo push notification token. This token is stored on our servers solely for the purpose of delivering community reply notifications to you.
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide GPS lap timing and session recording features
• Enable community features including setup sharing and discussion
• Send push notifications for community replies (if you opt in)
• Improve the App and develop new features
Session data, garage information, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Community content and push notification tokens are stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (supabase.com). We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
• Community content you choose to post is visible to other App users
• With service providers who assist in operating the App (Supabase for database hosting, Expo for push notifications)
• If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users
The App uses the following third-party services:
• Supabase (supabase.com) - database and authentication services
• Expo (expo.dev) - push notification delivery
• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) - weather data for sessions
These services have their own privacy policies which govern their use of your data.
You have the right to:
• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time via your device settings
• Export your session data (stored locally on your device)

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
