Message from the Chairperson of APEN

Welcome to the Asia Professional Education Network (APEN). The APEN was founded in 2011 at Naha city Okinawa Japan just after the Great East Japan Earthquake to enhance the Asian social de-velopment through industrialization. The goal of APEN is to develop the higher industrial human resources by enlarging the PBL education program developed by AIIT to expand into Asian region.

The Purpose of the APEN is defined in the APEN constitution as follows.

“Section 2. Its purposes are (a) to enhance nexus of collaboration among organizations having Project Based Learning, hereinafter abbreviated as PBL, programs in Asia thereby (b) to produce global professionals who can contribute to the promotion of the Asian social develop-ment through industrialization.” [APEN constitution Article 1 Section 2]

According to the purpose, APEN has held many seminars to discuss what the effective and suitable professional education system is every year during the APEN Board of directors meeting.

I look forward to welcoming any university and related organization who aspires to lead the higher professional education program.
