Thank you! It almost works the way I want, until I constrict the size of the browser window far enough that the nav-bar ends up overlapping the logo image. But it is one option I could continue trying to work with!

To create a logo without a background color, ensure your logo is a .png file with a transparent background. You can use third-party software to create this, or use Squarespace Logo to create transparent backgrounds automatically.

I wasn't sure what element I should use or if I should be using get, but it fails. When I look at the source code for the web page, the logo is hidden within the javascript (nodeJS, vueJS,and expressJS application) and I noticed the javascript seems to add a sequence of numbers and letters to the image when I go to the image page even though the image name in the assets folder does not have it on there. To manually connect your brand assets into your theme, open the theme editor. Click the block or section that uses brand assets, such as your store's header. In the Logo image block, click the Connect dynamic source button.

You should open the LocalSettings.php and look for a line that starts with $wgLogo. If there is no such line you should add it yourself and if there already is such a line you should edit it to contain the path to your logo. For example, if we suppose that your logo is named logo.png and you have uploaded it directly in the public_html folder the line should look like:

If you have uploaded the logo in a subdirectory of your public_html, be sure to paste the whole path. If you have uploaded your logo logo.png in the skins/common/images/ directory the line should look like:

NB: It is possible to overwrite the default logo installed with MediaWiki, but this is strongly advised against, as an upgrade may end up overwriting it or change the default location of this file.

Functional images are used to initiate actions rather than to convey information. They are used in buttons, links, and other interactive elements. The text alternative for the image should convey the action that will be initiated (the purpose of the image), rather than a description of the image.

Missing or empty alt values create significant problems for screen reader users because functional images are essential to the functionality of the content. Screen readers will typically announce the image file name, the image URL, or the URL for the link destination, which is unlikely to help users understand the action that will be initiated by the image.

In this example, the W3C logo is used to supplement text within a link that leads to the W3C home page. The image does not represent different functionality or convey other information than that already provided in the link text, so a null (empty) value is applied, (alt=""), to avoid redundancy and repetition. In effect the image is a decorative adjunct or visual cue to the link text:

The brand image to be displayed must be in Scaled Vector Graphics (SVG) format. The specific SVG profile used by BIMI is defined as SVG Portable/Secure (SVG P/S). It is a profile of the SVG Tiny 1.2 format standardized by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The SVG P/S profile is more strict than SVG Tiny 1.2, meaning an SVG Tiny 1.2 image will require modifications in order to be compliant with BIMI.
