My name is Ashley Kelly Patterson and I am an educational leader in Baton Rouge, La. I was born and raised in Zachary, LA where I completed my high school career at Zachary High School, which has been one of the top schools in the #1 school district in Louisiana for over 15 years. After high school, I began my college career studying secondary education at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. I received my bachelor's degree in 2011 and immediately began teaching 6-8th grade social studies in one of the most under-served areas of Baton Rouge. I received my master's in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ in 2016. After receiving my master's I began working as a TAP Master Teacher and Instructional Specialist. I am currently wrapping up my first year of doctoral studies at Grand Canyon University where I am pursuing an Educational Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a Concentration in K-12 Leadership.
I have a passion for EdTech; some of my certifications include Google Levels 1 and 2, Google Trainer, Nearpod, Edulastic, and Clever. I am currently a Principal in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and five children.
