Introduction

Disney's Hollywood Studios over the years has modified its thesis to remain current and adaptable to the modern film audience. However, some of the best attractions are ones that not only impact the present-day audience, but have the longevity to entertain audiences in the past, present, and future. The 'timeless' attractions. And while in 2017, Disney removed one of those timeless attractions in The Great Movie Ride, the Imagineers on Team Boats were inspired by the purpose of the former attraction in order to tell the story of filmmaking. 

A Passage to the Stars offers a smaller-scale, back to basics perspective on the story of cinema. Told in a quaint, compact setting, this attraction will transport guests through the history of film, providing context to how Hollywood grew into what it is today. From the first motion pictures, to the introduction of special effects, to the full narrative potential of motion storytelling, and eventually into the world of Technicolor, it is a timeless tale that will edutain guests for generations to come.
