My name is Dan Stocks. Since the beginning of the project, I have been in full-time education. When this portfolio was created, I was in my first year studying Sociology, Philosophy, Theology, Ethics, and English Literature at A-Level. This has now progressed to my degree, where I am currently studying TESOL and Japanese at a BA level, and planning on entering the pathway of a Japanese Studies Post-graduate. My two ambitions in life often coincide with each other, my love for travelling influencing my love for writing. 

The Aparctius Project initially was a passion project, created when a group of us thought about publishing something ourselves; we wanted to create something. Creatively, we excelled differently, so we thought of combining our styles, our perspectives, and our ideas. This thought created 'Misfortune', and then a year later 'Escapism'. 

This portfolio, much like this project, is not just about writing.
