Meet the Team!
Hello everyone! I am super excited to be promoting agriculture education and pursuing both of my passions. I’m from a small town in East Central Alberta, where I’ve grown up on and around farms my whole life. I started working in agriculture seriously when I was 14, and have continued working on neighbouring farms as well as the family ranch full time in the summer for the past 6 years. I completed my Green Certificate in Field Crop Technology, and participated in 4H in high school. Both these activities grew my knowledge and love for agriculture, and 4H specifically grew my love for education, which is why I decided to become a teacher. Most recently, I have became a volunteer for the Classroom Agriculture Program and hope to continue this as I begin teaching. In the future, I plan to take over the family farm, along with teaching. Appreciation and knowledge for agriculture has opened so many doors for me, and I know how important it is to know about farming and all its elements. That is why I decided to create this page; to promote the many Ag resources for education, become an advocate for agriculture, and share my passions with you!
Hey y’all! I’m super thankful for this opportunity to promote agriculture and everything great about it, while also becoming a teacher too. WHAT A TIME! I am passionate about education, agriculture, and educating others about agriculture, hence why we created this amazing page for resources. For all my life, living in West Central Alberta, I had the privilege to grow up on a farm with an array of animals, equipment, and opportunities to grow my knowledge. A huge part of my life also consisted of being an avid 4-H member for 11 years. Through that, it helped shape me into the person I am today and have gained more knowledge about what makes me passionate in life. My family bred horses as soon as they moved to their forever home, that’s how I gained my first love for horses. As I grew up, you could find me in the shop, helping my brother and dad tinker on random equipment, which led to my love for trucks. Who I am now, is someone that cares about the purpose of agriculture has in each of our lives and I want to help others grow in what they’re passionate in agriculture too. I can’t wait to share my love will all of y’all and grow together!
