Chess

I love the world of chess. I love the different tactics and methods involved in chess. There are so much different moves and plays you can do, with many openings, gambits, and sacrifices. Along with playing it for fun with my friends and family, I go to a chess club called Bay Area Chess after school. There we discuss tactics and strategies, and get to play games. I love to go to this club. Every week I learn something new, and have a lot of fun. There are people from kindergarten to grade 5.

I have not gone to an organized chess tournament yet, due to my busy schedule on weekends. But inside of Bay Area Chess, we have some mini tournaments, where we can earn prizes by playing a series of games. There are about 5 games. The tournament happens about once every 1-2 months, and it is a lot of fun. I have won 9 trophies so far in these tournaments. I was also voted MVP last year, that made me very happy. I love strategy and I love to play chess. It challenges me and tests my mental abilities.
