CISC 323 - Linux Operating System
This course focused on the basics of the Linux operating system. The course was mostly self-taught by learning the information in the first half of the book - CompTIA Linux+ Guide to Linux Certification. The book overviews the history of Linux and covers key terms associated with operating systems in general and those specific to Linux. It also teaches us various commands that can be used in Linux, what they do, and how they can be used. I finished the course with a grade of A.
CISC 360 - Info&Comm Tech Essentials (A+)
As the name suggests, this course focused on the essentials of computer and information technology. This course was also self-taught and was done so by using Cisco's Networking Academy Courses. In the course, we learned about the assembly of a computer, its key hardware and software components, as well as an insight into how networking is done. Alongside tests and quizzes, the course also contained labs that we had to complete. My favorite labs were the ones involving Packet Tracer, an app that can be used to simulate real-life networking. Overall, the course went smoothly and I finished the course with a grade of A.
