Section-78

Power to investigate offences.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, a police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police shall investigate any offence under this Act.

Explanation in Layman's Term:

For criminal proceeding, 1973 act, no officer under the rank of Deputy Suprerintendent of Police shall investigate any offence.
