Two fully funded Ph.D. positions will be available starting in October 2026 (Fall term) for highly motivated students who have completed a Master’s degree in Physics or Materials Science from a recognized university. Candidates with prior experience in ARPES, UHV systems, synchrotron radiation techniques, thin film deposition, single crystal synthesis, and DFT calculations are encouraged to apply.
I also welcome inquiries from candidates who have completed their Ph.D. and are seeking postdoctoral opportunities. For postdoctoral positions, applicants with experience in ultra-high vacuum systems, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), and single-crystal growth or characterization will be given preference.
In addition, other highly motivated candidates are strongly encouraged to apply through competitive university fellowship schemes, such as the Hiroshima University Global Doctoral Fellowship. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact me well in advance of the application deadline.
