The Alliance to Feed the Earth in Disasters (ALLFED) is a not-for profit organisation that focuses on ensuring global food security during catastrophic events like nuclear winter or extreme climate disruptions. Working with policymakers and scientists, ALLFED creates contingency plans to minimize starvation risks. Their goal is to enhance global resilience through cost-effective and scalable solutions.
The team aims to provide a detailed analysis in the form of a journal article analysing the current pandemic responses of countries and the feasibility of extending that response to include a scale-up curve of the roll-out of different in-room air filtration systems to vital services such as healthcare and food and water supply.
The project aims to analyse on a continental scale, splitting the world into six different regions to analyse viability. Vital Industry analysis will be done via the ILO database of countries' occupational split, and the manufacturing and repurposing of filters would be done on a continental level.
