Theatre/Film
Antwan D. Cummings, a performer and creator passionate about telling stories that resonate, wether on stage or on screen. My journey has allowed me to explore a wide range or roles in both theatre and film, always striving to bring authenticity and depth to every character I portray. On stage, i've had the privilege of performing in a variety of productions, including The Wiz, Chicago: The Musical, and Monsieur Baptiste: The Con Man. I've also been part of powerful works like The Dance on Widow's Row, where I explored themes of resilience, and Unknown, an original piece that dives into identity and self discovery. In the film world, I've taken on the role of director, and producer in a student filmed short film called Scary Jerry, a project that allowed me to explore the genre of horror.

my mama told me i’ll only have one love
she told me if i wanted that i would have to look to the heavens above
she told me to not send my heart away like a note on a dove
but somehow my heart is always sent flying
high above every heartbreak and situationship
slowly opening to every relationship
sometimes i wonder if my heart knows bounds
or if its just always listening for the sound
the sound of warmth
the sound of jazz
the sound of morning kisses
the sound of late night yawns
the sound of ill always be here
the sound of love...
the love that says let’s stay here a little longer
the type of love that makes your heart grow fonder
the kind of love that adds healing to your heart
the safe love that makes you inspired for your art
i want love to wake me up in the morning
i want love that makes me feel safe in yearning
the love that casts away all fear
the love that says that heaven is near
the love that makes you want to open up your ears
only if i could program my ears to know the beat of your heart
program my mind to only know your name

program my eyes to only see your face
