BIOSENSORS FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER AND IMMUNE CHECKPOINTS BLOCKADE THERAPY MONITORING FROM LIQUID BIOPSY
Cancer biomarkers detection from a small volume of blood is relatively fast compared to the gold standard of tissue biopsies.
Traditional immuno-histochemistry (IHC) detection required tissue samples obtained from invasive procedures and specific expertise as well as sophisticated instruments.
Emerging interest in understanding the immune checkpoints facilitate the rapid detection of cancer prognosis from the liquid biopsy.

APTAMERIC NANOBIOSENSORS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF COVID-19- AN UPDATE
Aptameric nanobiosensors is an affinity-based nanosensors interfaced with aptamers.
It is a rapid and sensitive diagnostic platform for the detection of SARS-CoV-2.
Detection limit of these apta-nanobiosensors vary from pM to fM concentrations.
Careful selection of aptamers and signal transducers is critical for better results.

IMPACT OF GOLD-DECORATED TANTALUM OXIDE (TAOX-AU) NANO-PROBES FOR LOW ENERGY CANCER DIAGNOSTIC AGENT
Novel synthesis of Gold-decorated Tantalum oxide nanoparticles (TaOx-Au NPs) as multifunctional nanoprobe.
TaOx-Au NPs are characterized revels the formation of gold over TaOx NPs.
TaOx-Au exhibits high X-ray attenuation when exposed to X-rays, making it suitable for cancer diagnostics.
INFLUENCE OF EUROPIUM (EU) DOPED TANTALUM OXIDE NANOPARTICLES (TAOX NPS): A POTENTIAL CONTRAST AGENT
Novel one-step synthesis of Europium (Eu) doped Tantalum Oxide (TaOx) nanoparticles.
Physicochemical properties are characterized for doped and undoped nanoparticles.
10% of Eu: TaOx NPs with UV rays showed intense red emission.
TaOx and Eu: TaOx NPs irradiated with X-rays showed reddish orange and blue emission.
Proposed mechanism of emission is due to energy transfer from host materials and direct radiation effect of Europium.

NANOPARTICLES FOR CANCER HYPERTHERMIA
Interaction of Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and gold nanoclusters (AuNCs) with radiofrequency (RF) field for hyperthermia treatment is ambiguous and needs further investigation.
A systematic study of the absorption of capacitive RF field by AuNPs and AuNCs dispersed in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) is reported here in tissue mimicking phantom.
Phantom heating was carried out using 27 MHz short-wave diathermy equipment at 200 and 400 W for control and colloidal gold solutions.
It is concluded that AuNPs and AuNCs do not enhance the absorption of RF-capacitive field and power absorption observed in the biological medium is due to the ions present in the medium.
