Presentation
I am a full professor of Spanish Linguistics at the Institute of Language and Literature at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Trondheim). I was previously a professor of Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Tromso, where I have taught since 2009 and have been associated to CASTL since 2007.
In December of 2018, I got the Teaching Prize of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education of the University of Tromsø, where I was working at the time. I got the Research Prize from the same faculty in December 2014.
I am also the coordinator of NEON, a research network for Neo-constructionist approaches to Spanish, Catalan and Basque.
In Spain I have collaborated with RAE and ANEP and I am currently the editor in chief of Borealis: An International Journal of Hispanic Linguistics and associate editor of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Morphology.
I am interested in all things linguistic, but specially in syntax, semantics, phonology and morphology (the latter actually being a pseudonym that syntax uses in some occasions in order to seem harmless).
In this webpage, you can find some of my monographs and papers, check my teaching, see what I am working on these days, or what I am up to these days.
Oh, and click here if you want to contact me. (Please, do not send certified mail to me: it is complicated and time consuming to fetch it, so any other option –including not sending it– is better).
