I am a full professor of Spanish Linguistics at the Institute of Language and Literature at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Trondheim). I was previously a professor of Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Tromso, where I taught since 2009 and was associated to CASTL since 2007.
In December of 2018, I got the Teaching Prize of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education of the University of Tromsø, where I was working at the time. I got the Research Prize from the same faculty in December 2014.
In Spain I collaborate with ANEP and other official organisms. I am currently the editor in chief of Borealis: An International Journal of Hispanic Linguistics.I have been co-editor of the Blackwell Companion to Morphology, and associate editor of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Morphology.
I am interested in all things linguistic, but specially in syntax, semantics, phonology and morphology (the latter actually being a pseudonym that syntax uses in some occasions in order to seem harmless).
In this webpage, you can find some of my monographs and papers. If you are interested, here is my podcast, and if you are interested and speak Norwegian these are my radio interventions.
Oh, and click here if you want to contact me. (Please, do not send certified mail to me: it is complicated and time consuming to fetch it, so any other option –-including not sending it-– is better).
