What Are The Five Cs?

The five Cs are crucial soft skills needed to be an impactful team player in the workforce.

Communication: The ability to write and speak professionally
Collaboration: The ability to group up with team members and treat one another fairly to collectively make decisions
Creativity: The ability to apply both creative thinking and creative problem solving to the task at hand
Critical Thinking: The ability to think clearly and rationally to understand logical connection between ideas
Computational Thinking: The ability to break down a complex problem into series of smaller ones

Communication

Project Description: You have 60 seconds to address the world and your message will be broadcast on televisions everywhere. Write a script for what you will say and record it.

Project Description: Your job is to design the "High School of the Future". What does it look like? How does it operate? What makes it different?

Requirement 3: Using a digital tool of your choice, illustrate the High School of the Future. Write a one-page report that details how the school works.

Creativity

Project Description: Design your new resume. Refer to the Google Digital Applied Skills assignment and download a PDF version.

Critical Thinking

Project Description: Choose a current crisis that is happening now (an issue that you care about). Design a flyer that promotes a solution to the issue. Design an Instagram post that promotes the solution as well.

Requirement 5: Upload the flyer (you can use Canva or another tool)

Computational Thinking

Project Description: One large sub-skill within computational thinking is data literacy and representation. All data tells a story, and how you tell that story accurately and clearly can be difficult.

Requirement 7: Design a visual representation showing which countries have the most FIFA World Cup Championships over the course of history. (Data here(opens in a new tab)). You may choose to do this using a bar graph, pie graph, or some other creative visual tool. As you build your representation, consider which visual will tell the best story about the data.
