Stop McAfee From Changing Search Engine

Sometimes McAfee can change search engines to which it seem secure and easily accessible. However, many users might want McAfee to stop changing the search engine every time. If you also want to do that, then below are the quick solutions you can follow to disable this option. 

Method 1: Disable McAfee WebAdvisor

   . Launch your web browser and click the three vertical ellipses located in the top-right corner of the screen.

   . Click on the More Tools, then select Extensions from the list.

   . Then, you need to look for McAfee WebAdvisor and toggle it off.

   . Once you see a prompt, read the warning message and click Done.

Method 2: Remove Other Search Engines From Your Browser

   . Firstly, select the three vertical ellipses on the top right side of the screen and select Settings.

   . And then, select the Search Engine option, then expand Manage Search Engines and Site Search. 

   . Now, you are required to look for the search engines on the open page. 

   . Select the three-dot icon next to the search engine you want to remove and click Delete.

   . Next, you should choose Delete in the pop-up prompt to proceed.

   . In addition, repeat the same steps to delete the other search engines.

   . Select the three-dot icon on the browser you wish to use and click Make Default.

Method 3: Uninstall McAfee WebAdvisor

   . First of all, select the Windows search bar, search Settings, and open it.

   . Choose Apps from the left panel.

   . Click on the Installed Apps, then search WebAdvisor.

   . Choose the three-dot icon next to WebAdvisor and select Uninstall.

   . Now, you should select Uninstall again in the pop-up prompt to proceed.

   . After that, click on Yes in the User Account Control window.

   . When you are in the new WebAdvisor window, click No thanks, just uninstall it.

   . In addition, select Done once the uninstallation is successful.

   . Once the process is complete, you need to restart your computer. 

   . Now, check if your problem has been resolved.
