1915 --- leon hiram marshall is born in boston, mass, to rose grace marshall nee davies + hiram ulysses marshall, two months premature, the doctors say he probably won't make it over night.

1918 --- leon is three years old and incredibly behind for his age. ulysses comes home from world war one, he hates his sickly son and his deranged wife, you can imagine what kind of household this was.

1918-1930 --- leon suffers tremendous mental + physical abuse at the hands of not only his father but his mother too. the tail-end of 1930, he was sent away to military boarding school at age 15, to "toughen him up."

1930-1932 --- the boarding school was rough, he was in bad physical health and he was bullied daily, until one day he fought back, broke his bullies nose however got expelled.

1932 --- time was at a stand-still when he finds his mother dead in the bathtube, at 17 he leaves his family home... for good this time and moves to new york. he can't be around his father anymore.

1932-early 1939 --- life was not fucking easy ever, jobs were hard to come by, when he did work it was hard because of his physical and mental health. he started to think his dad was right at how weak and pathetic he was. he gets diagnosed and finds out he doesn't have long to live.

early 1939 --- a man by the name of frederick vought offers him a chance to be in his "study" he called it with the unknown wonder drug of compound v. after some deliberation, he accepts. he signs a liability waiver and consent form.

mid 1939 --- the first injection of compound v ever goes into his arm. the rest of the adult volunteers don't live. he watches them all slowly die while he lives. he comes out stronger and healthier than ever.

late 1939-1941 --- the threat of war is encroaching on the united states, and the compound v program at vought labs accelerates

1941 --- leon enlists in the united states military, with a glorious recommendation from a high-ranking officer overseeing parts of the compound v project. he's shipped out to europe shortly after the attack on pearl harbor. 1941 --- the second major even of this year was the death of his father, leon made one last attempt at trying to connect with his father. which leon honey /: it didn't end well, his father just had more bullshit to say. he was drunk and not having any of leons presence. it was an accident really what happened. leon side stepped a punch his father swung at him and he fell down the stairs. hit his head on the way down and.... leon could've called for help, in fact he should've but he didn't he just stood over his father, as he bled out begging for leons help. leon said something along the lines of "you never helped me. you fucking worthless scum. rot. in. hell."

1941-1947 --- leon proud serves against the terror of n/azi germany. every once in a while receiving care packages from frederick himself with new formulas of compound v to inject, each one making him stronger than the last and enhancing his abilities farther. he was in the trenches with the troops, and aided in missions that seemed impossible without him.

1942 ---- his new suit (the one seen on the show), shield and knife are presented to him after his first mission in combat.

1947 --- he finally returns to united states soil, an incredibly changed man. in the time he was away--- serving and providing war propaganda shots, vought labs has become simply vought. and built atop the labs is a wonderous skyscraper, having profited so much. his saluting statue stands out front. vought is no longer a small location with only five scientists, it's a growing empire. captain leon hiram marshall vought was a war hero. vought changes his name to benjamin wright, against his will, but to "protect their asset" as they'd claim.

1947 cont'd --- "Captain Vought" attends the president truman signing the national security act of 1947 into law, creating the central intelligence agency, the department of defense, the joint chiefs of staff, and the national security council, as a representative of vought previously vought labs proposed military compound v program, along with frederick vought and another unnamed vought representative it is excluded from the department of defense. the compound v program continues but slows considerably. leon still retains his military status, despite denial of vought's compound v program becoming part of the department of defense.

1948 --- in early 1948, the united states, united kingdom, and france secretly began to plan the creation of a new german state made up of the western allies’ occupation zones. on january 1, the united states and united kingdom unified their respective zones and formed bizonia, which caused tensions between east and west to escalate. "Captain Vought" was rumored to be among troops to oversee the unification, unconfirmed. the berlin blockade begins; the crisis started on june 24, 1948, when soviet forces blockaded rail, road, and water access to allied-controlled areas of berlin. the united states and united kingdom responded by airlifting food and fuel to berlin from allied airbases in western germany, "Captain Vought" was seen helping unload supplies.

1948-1951 --- leon "Captain Vought" spent majority of his time going back and forth between helping rebuild europe, vought tower, press interviews, filming, and going wherever he was needed. he proposes his ideas for herogasm, his ideas of unwinding with tensions rising all over the globe. plans are drawn up, and construction begins in miami, florida, on a vought bought out huge island property. the construction completes in 1951.

1952 --- the first official herogasm is held. and annually every year hear-after, a week long event featuring many amenities other than sexual intercourse-- renovated as new discoveries are made. vought makes a lot of money off of it.

1952-1961 --- leon "Captain Vought" continues to go back and forth between europe and the united states, attending various events and press interviews.

1955 --- warsaw pact, which establishes a mutual defense treaty subscribed to by eight communist states in eastern europe (including the USSR). "Captain Vought" rumored to be in warsaw, poland / somewhere in europe during the signing, unconfirmed.

1960 --- john f. kennedy elected president. 

1961 --- us breaks diplomatic relations with cuba. john f. kennedy becomes the 35th president, "Captain Vought" attends kennedy's inaugural address. bay of pigs invasion, "Captain Vought" was on board an escort ship that is sunk, he watches from the water as many others are too, before he gets picked up by a retreating ship. "Captain Vought" is sent to berline once more, berlin crisis of 1961, on october 27, 1961, the provocative games took a serious turn as another probe prompted the soviets to deploy 10 tanks on the eastern side of checkpoint charlie. the us had been using tanks to support their escorts of vehicles into East Berlin, and now was met by equal force. the soviet and american tanks stood a mere 100 yards apart from each other, and both sides readied for battle. the showdown of tanks at the wall became a visual emblem of the dangerous situation these world powers were locked into. "Captain Vought" was in berlin to aid if it escalated into a battle. they mutually agreed to pull back from the standoff, and the confrontation eased. "Captain Vought" returns to the united states shortly after.

1962 --- thomas godolkin, an understudy of frederick vought had proposed a subsidiary of vought and godolkin "university" is established. "Captain Vought" escorts an elderly frederick vought to the red ribbon opening. october, 1962, cuban missile crisis, "Captain Vought" infilitrated cuba and 'persuades' vasily aleksandrovich arkhipov to dismantle the nuclear missiles, unconfirmed, potential vought involvement.

1963 --- assassination of john f. kennedy in dallas.

late 1963 --- frederick vought dies of a heartattack, he's found in his office in vought tower by leon who proceeded to do cpr but it was far too late. he attends his funeral procession carrying his coffin.

1963-onward --- leon mourns fredrick vought. 1964 --- "Captain Vought" was aboard the uss maddox when they came under attack of vietnamese torpedoes, since the passing of frederick he sought to be away from vought for a while.

1965 --- president johnson escalates the united states military involvement in the vietnam war. "Captain Vought" only served in the battle of ia drang valley, until vought pulled him out, seeing a lost cause in the war efforts.

1963-1970 --- leon marshall "Captain Vought" has his reawakening and spirals with extended drug use.

1968 --- the U.S. signs nuclear non-proliferation treaty to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and weapons technology, to promote cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and to further the goal of achieving nuclear disarmament and general and complete disarmament. vought puts stakes in united states and secretly russia. "Captain Vought" attends the medal award ceremony by president johnson to honor soldiers from vietnam.

1970 --- vought leans into the media-based superheroes farther. kenneth baker is brought in, as a stand-in for "Captain Vought" when leon refused or wasn't present. leon immediately hates him on principle but he's also relieved. stan edgar is brought in on contract.

1971 --- payback tryouts are held. "Captain Vought" leon attends the event with coercion that he's gets to pick his team. kenneth baker, plain clothing, and stan edgar also attend.

1972-1979/1984 --- leon spends majority of his time away from vought as he can, its not always successful and this is when legend really ramps up his distaste for leon, at his refusal to cooperate with a lot of vought events and filming. leon proposes retirement for himself. retire "Captain Vought" and his suit. his contract would've ended in 1980, they somehow convince him to renew it for another five years, with their scheming plans.

1980 --- jonah vogelbaum, a member of voughts science team brings leon "Captain Vought" in to collect 'semen specimen(s)' "Captain Vought" takes one look at the cup, throws it to the ground, laughing as he walked out of his office. he refused, but it's taken against his will anyways. he's drugged by novichok and they extract it by force.

1981 --- april of 1981 homelander is born, in a vought lab, to a redacted mother who dies during child-birth. they begin their attempt at grooming him to be their perfect little hero. we all know how that one plays out.

1984 --- the events of this year are tentative, depending on how I branch off for the different verses. "mission in nicaragua" --- disguised as an effort to develop more relations between the military and vought, was a mission but its primary goal was to secure the asset "captain vought" the entirety of payback is in on it save for captain vought. he's secured by russian forces as part of voughts ever present pact with russia. his new contract from 1980 would've ended two months after this "trip".

• the first thing they did was strip him of his entire suit, and clothes entirely, he was naked the entire time. his suit pieces and everything were given back to vought headquarters / tower. where they promptly displayed them in a world war II museum--- charging money for their exhibit on him.

• he first awoke in a cell, shock collar around his neck, as they wanted to simply observe him in a controlled setting. after his initial injection of compound v and him being shipped off to war, they didn't get a lot of time to actually study him in a lab after the most updated formula injections he was sent during world war II.

• once they were satisfied, the real "experimentation" began. they gassed him a lot with novichok to move him from point a to point b. and their second order of business was to see how much he could withstand. they brought any kind of weapon they could think of in----- blow torch to his skin, ak-47 firing it into his mouth and against him, they beat him, they pissed on him. he's been a prisoner of war before multiple times but this was so much worse. because it was vought.

• after losing multiple men to him, and the novichok they had to keep producing, they adapted it into an iv. which after much dismay and struggling they finally got the iv of it in his arm. kept him dulled enough, not quite asleep but not quite awake enough to do anything about it.

• they also continued to pump him with even more compound v, to see if it would activate any other untapped abilities.

• they tested what radiation and nuclear energy would do to him and exposed him to all kinds of hazardous materials. they would pour all kinds of liquids down his mouth and if he didn't let them, they would force it down his throat. radium was among the liquids, A LOT of radium. to their surprise, he survived all of it and was still kicking, still as aggressive and strong as the novichok wore off.

• when he blew up half the old lab located within moscow, they made the choice to move him away from the city and into the lab now fitted for him in the siberian wilderness, for the duration of him being awake.

• they put on a showcase so he could display his powers, to the powers that be at now vought international. a maze of sorts located in the snowy wilderness, they made him do it bare-foot and naked. the unsettling and enormity of his powers, were realized that it was too dangerous to keep him awake now, so they put him on ice.

season 3, episode 4, glorious 5 year plan.

• billy and the boys + company find BCL-RED, the bioweapon against supes they were looking for. it just so happened to be CAPTAIN VOUGHT.

• the ice box had already begun to de-thaw when a stray bullet ricocheted into the power supply. he's half-awake when the lid gets ripped off the ice box. gradually, he comes more to awake, rips his iv out, and clambers out of the ice box.

• not recognizing the boys + company, he doesn't outwardly attack them, he turns for his escape route and frenchie just so happens to be standing in his easiest path to freedom. he blasts his way out, in an unsettling display more powerful than before, and runs naked into the cold russian night.

season 3, episode 5, the last time to l👀k at this world of lies.

• he gets to moscow, still naked, finds a brothel and the ladies there help him, unwind. his stay is short-lived and he's taking to the streets in a dirty track-suit, to the airport.

• he sneaks into the cargo hold of a plane. he sleeps, arms crossed over his chest, the whole plane ride over the atlantic to new york.

• when the plane lands, he startles the baggage claim worker who came in to get bags. the guy is scared shitless, he doesn't report it.

• jfk airport is different than he remembers, everything is different than he remembers. he's overwhelmed by all the sensations around him. he adjusts, mostly. he wanders around new york with a purpose, surprised to see even more things are different. no one bats an eyelash at his appearance.

• he arrives at legends place, surprised to see the old man still living in the same apartment. he's offered cocaine and he snorts some, he's told that his stuff is somewhere in a museum. and that he should probably stay there, in some effort to placate him. he doesn't stay. he despises legends almost as much as legend despises him.

• he breaks into the museum and takes his shit back: suit, shield and eagle head knife back, shoves them into a duffel.

• he wanders around new york again, trying to figure out the best plan to go about his revenge. he's triggered by russian music and blows up a coffee shop, killing over 19 people. when he comes to, he's on the ground and the damage is already done. he flees the scene, forcing himself into a motel room with money he'd swiped from legends place. he sees a brochure for voughtland and their new upcoming, exhibit sponsored by crimson countess--- he swipes that too.

• he has a full break-down in the motel room, minus the blast part. he rips the russian clothes off, he takes a shower, he masturbates in the shower. he cleans himself up, he smashes the mirror. has another break-down after the shower.

• he's suited up, helmet and all. he steals some guys motorcycle. he rides, fast, to voughtland. barbie (crimson countess) is first on his hit list.

• he runs into butcher, he watches butcher drug his friend (mm), knows he can't trust him completely but they have who he wants inside. billy offers a team-up, leon has to roll his eyes. but its a gritted fine.

• he confronts crimson countess. he wasn't in love with her so his "confession" never happens but he does unload everything they did to him, then she confesses she was in on it. he blows her and her trailer up.

• he runs into starlight and hughie now, butcher carrying mm away from the blast radius. starlight powers up to attack him, hughie defends him. leon has no interest in their petty issues among each other, not his fucking concern, so he starts walking away.

• much against his instincts he follows, on his stolen motorcyle, butcher and hughie to another motel room, just as shitty as the last one.

season 3, episode 6, her0gasm.

• hughie and butcher go out to get leon normal clothes. they come back with shorts and giants shirt, leon is irritated. butcher and hughie leave again to get leon food, among other things.

• they come back and leon is banging the front desk girl. butcher kicks her out. leon is irritated again. they put his food on the table as he's pulling his shorts back up. he complains they don't have the old sauce they used to. hughie is confused. butcher is deadpan.

• leon does a line of a benzo he crushed. they tell him about homelander, he's the new you, " no ones the new me pal." leon is irritated again. butcher makes good on his promise by going to find the whereabouts of the tnt twins and mindstorm. hughie and leon talk, leon watches his old movies. leon tells hughie he didn't mean to blow up that coffee shop and means it.

• butcher comes back with information. they go to vermont. its a knock-off her0gasm. leon is irritated. he's about to go in, hughie stops him, leon is still irritated. five minutes. hughie doesn't come back in five minutes, leon goes inside.

• mm confronts captain vought with halothane, leon has no fucking clue who the dude is. mm says he killed his family but as far as leon knew he didn't---- were they in the coffee shop, who knows? leon doesn't leon is irritated, he askes for elaboration, he gets nothing. butcher interrupts. the name kenneth baker smacks leon in the face, he takes one more look at mm with confusion before he wanders off to find tessa and tommy.

• leon finds the twins, still as nasty and good for nothing as ever. tessa pleads for their life. leon is triggered again, his ptsd blast goes off brighter and bigger than before. he pivots and it shreds through the house like its butter, destroying anyone in its path. leon comes to again on the ground, more spent than before. his chest hurts, its hard to breathe. the damage is done again. he wanders the house to find butcher.

• homelander shows up, he knocks butcher out, leon still weak from the blast is startled into battle. he holds his own despite being so desperately exhausted. he slips up, homelander has him in a choke-hold, butcher steps in, they both fight homelander as a unit, in tandem. hughie shows up to help. leons about to blast him, homelander can feel his powers fizzling out so he bucks up and wiggles himself free and flies away.

• butcher, hughie and leon leave vermont, and head to another motel....

season 3, episode 7, here comes a c@ndle to light you to bed.

• leon locks himself in the bathroom and doesn't come out for two days. he sleeps in the bathtub. days pass, leon is bored hanging out in the motel room, he goes to the bar next door and picks up two women. they're in the middle of a threesome, when butcher and hughie walk in. leon is irritated, they have information about mindstorm. leon is less irritated.

• they leave for mindstorms location, leon still has the stolen motorcycle. the woods are boobie trapped. mindstorm puts butcher in a trance, hughie gets mindstorm to take him out of it. leon's knife whips through the air and hits dan in the face. leon takes him down, questions him about everything. dan tells him all the answers he'd been looking for the whole time. dan tells him homelander is his son. it shatters almost everything in him. he beats dan to death with his shield. and storms off past butcher and hughie.

season 3, episode 8, the instant white-h0t wild.

• they get back to the motel and he's locked himself in the bathroom again, he's covered in mindstorms blood. he doesn't come out of the bathroom for a week. their plans to kill homelander are at a stand-still. he comes out of the bathroom finally some time later, tells them he's still willing to kill homelander. every instinct is telling him to leave the rest of this alone, but he's going to see this to completion.

• they turn on him, just like everyone in his life before him. he had no stakes in killing homelander, it was just the right thing to do. once again he's told he deserves this as they try to novichok him. he's not irritated, he's fucking pissed. he bucks everyone off, closes off his blast, grabs his shield and dives out of the window. he's not ashamed to take the cowards way out, he's not going back to that fucking box.

• he drops all those floors, and lands on his feet, crunching the concrete under the weight of his fall. he doesn't look to see if anyone ran to the window, he just gets up and runs into the night. alternatively, his blast can still be going off, and meave still tackles him out the window. they fall some distance away, his blast sends her flying somewhere and he goes opposing direction. when they finally get through the wreckage his body is never found.
