My research agenda maintains four distinct pathways: organizational leadership and change within an agricultural and rural context, sexual(ities) subcultures and HIV/AIDS prevention and social regulation within rural America, qualitative research methods, and culturally relevant pedagogy's impact on educational achievement and development of a socially conscious framework for addressing social problems. All three interests are approached from an intersectional theoretical foundation and include theories of teaching and learning, organizational leadership theory, and critical theories of sex, gender, and sexualities.
