If you received this page from us or a friend, then you have access to a special offer on our December 2021 trip (available until October 15, 2021):
BONUS #1: Complimentary CANCEL-FOR-ANY-REASON travel insurance upgrade
If you buy any of the travel insurance plans available through our partner Travel Insurance International, we will cover the difference in cost of adding optional cancel-for-any-reason coverage, up to a maximum of $1,000 per person.
Cancel-for-any-reason coverage would allow you to cancel a trip up until 48 hours before departure, for any reason whatsoever (i.e. even simply not feeling it), and still recoup 75% of non-refundable trip costs (in addition, of course, to all that your plan already covers; 100% for trip cancellation, or even 150% for trip interruption). We felt— particularly for those still somewhat hesitant about travel this year, even with our assurances on the trip—that this may give some additional peace of mind.
Notes: Cancel-for-Any-Reason is a time-sensitive benefit only available for a short window after initial trip payment. Our group plan requires purchase within 2 weeks of initial trip payment (and individual plans purchased at our portal at TII allow an extra week beyond that, i.e. 3 weeks). As with all CFAR plans, the full non-refundable costs of a trip must be insured.
TII will send us your CFAR policy once it is purchased. With that, we will subtract the cost of what a regular policy would have been at the same insurable amount, and we will apply that cost difference as a discount to your final invoice. For the group plans, these differences (i.e. upgrade costs, applied as discounts) mostly range from $604 to $808 per person. On the individual plans, which allow insuring amounts over $20K, the upgrade costs can be higher. We will cover up to $1,000 of the upgrade costs. See here if you'd welcome further detail.
BONUS #2: V.I.P FLIGHTS SERVICE with our dedicated flights partner
We will include the usually-payable cost of working with our expert air reservations partner/handler, who will already be familiar with the trip & associated parameters. They will be able to, for example:
Evaluate and present you with flight options for your particular route to/from Chile
Steer you towards options that still have Covid-related flexibility, or otherwise make you aware of any restrictions.
Book flights on your behalf.
Help you make changes on flight itineraries should the need arise.
Obtain seat assignments, when reservations allow it in advance.
Link your frequent flyer programs to these flights
Assist with any upgrades
Add dietary requests, when reservations allow it in advance.
Share your flight information with us, so we can plan & inform partners accordingly.
And more.
Finally:
While not quite a special offer, it feels appropriate to mention here one more treat regarding traveling to Antarctica this December:
This season will see one of the lowest numbers of visitors to Antarctica in decades.
While the continent always feels vast, like no other place on earth... we sense it's quite possible, once we set sail, that we won't see a trace of humanity on our route... BONUS #3 ;)
