YOUR ANSWERS STAY ON THIS DEVICE
AnswerKeep reads supported form labels and values in the active page only when you request it. Only answers and preset fields you choose to save are stored in Chrome's local extension storage. Profile names and custom alternate question labels are stored there too. This storage is not encrypted and is not synced by AnswerKeep.
SAVED PRESETS
When you save a preset, we store the selected questions, answers, field types and their relative occurrence, along with the page's origin and path. Query strings and URL fragments are omitted. Paths themselves may contain personal information: only save presets for pages you are comfortable retaining. We do not collect browsing history, track page visits or record submissions.
YOU CONTROL FILLING
Only selected matches are filled after your confirmation, from the selected profile or preset. Filled answers become available to the destination website, which may read them before submission. The extension never submits forms. It excludes common sensitive field types, but detection is not exhaustive: do not save secrets, financial, health or sensitive identity information. Copy answer writes only the selected answer to your clipboard on request.
UNDO
The most recent fill keeps temporary field references and before/after values in an isolated page context for Undo. Nothing is written to saved history or sent elsewhere. The undo button is available while the popup stays open; fields you edit afterward are skipped. Temporary page data is discarded when the page unloads or replaced by the next fill.
PRO LICENSING AND TWO-DEVICE REGISTRATION
Pro costs $7 once for one person and up to two registered Chrome installations. Different Chrome profiles or reinstallations count separately. Pro operations require online verification; the previous version's offline Pro allowance no longer applies. Free core features work without licensing.
When you activate, check Pro access or manage devices, the extension sends your license key over HTTPS to the publisher's licensing service hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Activation sends a random installation ID, a random installation credential and your chosen device label. Checks send the ID and credential; device management sends the key and the selected installation ID. No hardware fingerprint, serial number, form answers, profile names, presets or browsing history is sent.
The service verifies the key and product ID with Gumroad. Gumroad handles payment and purchase records under its own policies and sees the service's network connection. Cloudflare processes the request and receives your IP address. The service stores keyed hashes of license keys and installation credentials, random installation IDs, device labels, registration dates and last-check timestamps in Cloudflare D1. Raw keys are processed in memory for verification and are not stored in the database or intentionally logged. Purchase details are discarded after validation. The extension stores its key and installation credential locally, without encryption.
For rate limiting, a keyed hash of your IP address and the current minute is stored with a request counter. These temporary records expire after two minutes and are deleted by a daily cleanup job. Infrastructure providers may separately retain operational or security records under their policies. Application request logging is disabled in the supplied deployment configuration.
Anyone holding your license key can list and deactivate its registered installations. Keep the key private and choose device labels without personal information. Deactivation removes the device registration from the active database and blocks the installation's next Pro check; an operation already authorized may finish. Your local answers are not deleted. Cloudflare database recovery backups may retain removed records for the provider's recovery period.
BACKUPS
Plain JSON export is free and includes profiles, answers, aliases and preset page paths. Pro can encrypt that export with your chosen password using AES-256-GCM and a PBKDF2-SHA256 derived key. Encryption occurs on your device using the browser's Web Crypto API; your password is not saved or transmitted. We cannot recover it. Encryption protects exported files only, not live extension storage. Imports are processed locally. Neither backup format includes your license key or installation credential.
NO TRACKING
No advertising, analytics, data sales, remote executable code or AI service. Information is used only to provide reusable autofill and its related organization, preset and backup tools. AnswerKeep's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
DELETE AND RETAIN
Delete individual answers, profiles or presets, or use Delete all local data. Uninstalling removes extension storage. Exported files and copied clipboard content remain outside the extension until you remove or replace them. Forget key removes the locally saved license key but does not free its server-side device slot, delete answers or request a refund. Delete all local data and uninstalling also do not notify the licensing server. Use Manage devices to deactivate installations before clearing data, or from another installation with your license key afterward. Registration records otherwise remain until deactivated or deleted by the publisher on request; the service does not silently expire old slots. Pro data remains available to view, copy, delete and export if your key is removed or access is unavailable. Purchase records are retained by Gumroad under its own policies.
SUPPORT AND THIRD PARTIES
Emailing support shares your email address and any content you choose to send with the publisher and email provider, for responding to your request. Do not send confidential form data or passwords. This support website, if hosted on Google Sites, is separately subject to Google's privacy practices. Cloudflare and Gumroad process licensing information as described above.
