Title: Household Energy Flexibility: Analysis of Behavioral and Economic Incentives.
Thesis supervisors: Dorothée CHARLIER and Anna RISCH
Abstract: This project investigates energy sufficiency in the private residential sector, exploring how "bien vivre" (well-being) can coexist with reduced energy consumption. Using empirical and experimental approaches, I analyze the impact of behavioral nudges (consumption visualization, social comparisons) and socio-economic structures (pricing and tax policies) on household decisions. The ultimate goal is to design public policy recommendations that harmonize long-term energy-efficient investments with the economic and social realities of households.
