IBM Nation

What can I say..

its a 400000 strong group which has a presence in All Things Technology..!! you name it and we are there.. be it rocket science, super computing, water management, or closer to home, hardware services, application consulting, or deep into the kernel, operating systems, programming languages, compilers, chips..i could just bore u to hell..!! :)

If I was to describe IBM in one word.. the only one word I find real resonance in is: "Nation". Yes.. IBM is a nation.. of diverse thoughts, diverse people, diverse cultures, yet at the core of it.. one unifying thread.. and that being "technology".. You may be tended to think I am being overly poetic in my description...but I am just being curt and precise...!! Neither is it being about patriotic to my company. Its just that you get a feeling that just like in your country given the diversity, you will always find something to do something new to explore.. some greater challenges to embark on... If I get bored in one city/job or don't see opportunities, I move to a new one. Same with IBM, if I don't see opportunities in my current job role, if I want to try new things, even if I want to just take a small break from routine job, I am certain I will be able to do all that at IBM. I just have to look, and I will find some team, some project, some group looking for skills I may have to offer, and offering mentorship in the areas I want to learn more about.
