# Delete your Ansaar account

This page explains how to delete your Ansaar account and what happens to your

data. Google Play requires a publicly reachable page like this one, so it must

stay online and be linked from the Play Console Data safety form.

## Delete your account from inside the app

1. Open **Ansaar**.

2. Go to the **Profile** tab (bottom right).

3. Tap **Account**.

4. Tap **Delete account** and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. You will be signed out, and your streak,

prayer history, and profile cannot be recovered afterwards — there is no undo

and no grace period.

If you signed in with Google, you may be asked to confirm with your Google

account first. This is a security step to make sure only you can delete your

account.

## Delete your account without the app

If you have uninstalled Ansaar or cannot sign in, email

**jugnulabs@gmail.com** from the email address associated with your account,

with the subject **"Delete my Ansaar account"**. We will verify that the request

comes from the account owner and delete the account within **30 days**. We will

email you to confirm once it is done.

## What is deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

- Your profile — display name, username, and avatar choice

- Your entire prayer history and all daily prayer logs

- Your current streak, longest streak, and all derived statistics

- Your companions list and your entry in the searchable user directory

- Your username reservation, which is released for anyone else to use

## What is retained, and for how long

- **Your Firebase authentication record is removed** when you delete from inside

 the app, so you are no longer signed in on any device.

- **Companion connections and activity entries** that reference your account

 identifier may persist briefly in other users' feeds. These contain only an

 internal account identifier — not your name, email, or any prayer detail — and

 activity entries carry a 7-day expiry. They are not visible as you.

- **Feedback you submitted** through the in-app feedback form, and any automatic

 **error reports** generated if the app crashed, are kept for up to **12 months**

 so we can diagnose and fix bugs. If you want these removed as well, say so in

 your email and we will delete them.

- We keep **no backups** of deleted prayer data.

## Guest accounts

If you used Ansaar as a guest without signing in with Google, your account is

anonymous — we never held your name or email address. Deleting the app from your

device, or using **Delete account** in the app, removes the associated data.

## Prayer-time and reminder settings

Your location, calculation method, and reminder preferences are stored **only on

your device** and are never uploaded to our servers. They are removed when you

uninstall the app. Revoking location permission in your device settings stops

their use immediately.
