Anouk Wisse

About me

I am a PhD canditate in the Numerical Analysis group of DIAM, Delft University of Technology. My daily supervisor is dr. Carolina Urzúa-Torres and my promotor is prof.dr.ir. Kees Vuik. Before this I did my bachelor and master in applied mathematics also at Delft University of Technology. My masters thesis was done under the supervision of dr. Manuel Gnann.


Research interests

My current research is on developing stable numerical methods for time dependent Maxwell equations. In the past I worked on free boundary problems, in particular on analysis of the thin-film equation. My publications can be found on

I have two cats named Loky and Pluk. 

In my free time I like to play the saxophone. I play in the orchestras of Vlijt & Volharding  and harmonievereniging Masalant. I also participated in EWI in Concert 2023.
