ABOUT

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I began writing about 20 years ago, for fun. I was sitting in the backyard, with pen and paper. The sun-shiny weather was perfect, with a soft warm breeze. Birds were flying here and there singing. This took me into a world of fantasy. The story I wrote is now on the back burner, I have written other books since, including children's books. I am hoping to get back to them in the future.

I never took my writing seriously until roughly 10 years ago. It took many years to polish my writing. I read and researched whatever I could.

I joined the Black Diamond Writers' Network in 2006 and moved up to President. This writer's club is located in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Information can be found at www.blackdiamondwritersnetwork.org.

THE BEGINNING

I decided to write a small book first in order to learn the process of self publishing. It is a Christmas story called The Lost Story of Christmas.

The story was always in the back of my mind. It is a cute little story with puzzles in the back. An adult could put it in their own words and tell it to a child. They can also enjoy it.

A LONG AND PERSISTENT PATH

Writing is not easy but at times it is fun. Just think, we can invent another place and time. Meet people that we create. Forming a story of our own making. That is the fun part.

Then the hard part, editing. That is where we get down to the nitty-gritty.

Self-publishing is work, and there are pros and cons in any way you choose to publish. I am not getting into why I chose it. Do your own research.

After a while, I learned that writing is a long and hard path. It takes persistence. But the results, in the end, are grand.
