My research blends rigorous treatment of PDEs and real-world applications. Its backbone is modelling, often on multiple scales, of nonlinear processes with strongly coupled systems of PDEs/ODEs/SDEs and their qualitative study in terms of well-posedness, regularity, asymptotic, etc.
Main applications are in modelling cell migration in tissues, which is driven by non-trivial diffusion, taxis, and non-local and stochastic effects. This is relevant for many biological processes, particularly in cancer.
