This bald pate makeup design is a campy drag look with a Devilish theme. She was inspired by Chappell Roan's "My Kink Is Karma" look, Sasha Velour's drag, and HIM from PowerPuff Girls. This drag queen is in her late twenties to early thirties and performs at a lot of bars and clubs in the LA area. I chose the heart shape around the face as a reference to Chappell. She has pearls lining the heart shape to differentiate between the two colors and to soften the sharp lines. I chose to give her a pretty classic drag face with the arched brows, big eyeliner, and overlined lips to contrast the roundness of the heart shape and the face.
I love this red drag look because the heart shape is exactly what
I'm going for. I also really liked the 3d teardrops that look like blood on the eyes.
This is Chappell Roan's My Kink Is Karma look. I love the heart shape with the red outline as well as thegeneral vibe of her outfit.
The arched eyebrows, widows peak, and monochromatic red palette from this image really inspired me.
This is Sasha Velour, one of the most well-known bald drag queens. I loved the vibe of this image and took a lot of inspiration from her style of makeup.
This is a cosplay of Him from PowerPuff Girls. The silhouette of the contour was a big inspiration for my look.
I love the way this heart is outlined by stones in this makeup look.
This look has either a bald pate or just a bald head, but I loved the way they used the rhinestones to accentuate it. I also took inspiration from the body paint on the neck.
I love the blending of the red eyeshadow in this look, and the red teardrops are super cool.
I love the contrast of the red with the white face paint in this look. I also love the use of the rhinestones.
I love the nose contour in this look, and the way they used grey to add depth.

Finished Look
This application was a lot to fit into an hour and fifteen minutes. I struggled a lot with it, not having applied a bald pate before. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to try one again before I graduate so I can get more practice with it! The application of the bald pate itself wasn't too difficult, but I don't think I used enough acetone to melt the cap, because it took quite a while. I like how smoothly the red paint applied, though it could've used a few more layers and a lot of setting powder. I also like how the eyebrows and eyeliner came out. I wish I had time to add the pearls and rhinestones, as I feel it would've elevated the look, but ultimately it came out quite well for such a rushed job. It was also quite difficult to take the bald pate off, because the Pros-aide was all over her baby hairs! Definitely something I'd be more mindful of next time.
