This cottage has a furnished screen porch, looking over the vast open water, open-air and sunny yards on both sides overlooking the lake, the gazebo watching the fire-pit and shoreline.
The cottage is best suited for family. Two good-sized bedrooms (1st with full-size bed, 2nd has a twin-over-full bunk bed), plus a sleeping loft; comfortably sleeps 6. Pillows are provided.
Well-equipped kitchen: stove & fridge, microwave, toaster, oven, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, dish-washer and washing machine. Propane BBQ. 4-piece bathroom, with hot water tank. Running water is provided from the drilled well. Drinking water is recommended to be brought in (e.g: 5 gallon bottle to be used with the water cooler on site) .
The house is equipped with a central heatpump (air for summer and heat for winter), and a woodstove for winter. Fire TV, DVD player. Cell phone signals are strong in the area. WIFI (6M - DSL) is available on site.
Canoe, 2-person kayak, paddle boat are available for water entertainment (personal flotation devices should be brought in and used on the water). Picnic tables, Muskoka chairs, lawn chairs, hammock. Outdoor fire-pit is available (visitors are to bring firewood if needed). Spacious L-shaped dock.
The cottage is lovingly maintained; no smoking nor open fire indoor, please. Renters to bring their own linen/towels, pillow/mattress covers, as well as food/drinks...
Swimming:
The water is deep gradually off the dock, no weed, great for those who love to jump and swim. Along the shoreline is shallow wading area, a comfy walk with wet shoes.
Boating:
There are public boat launches for the Upper Rideau lake. Water is 4-foot deep at the end of the dock for your convenient boating. There are several places nearby that rent motor-boats, and other water sport equipment.
