Sustainable Development Goal 2 is about creating a world free of hunger by 2030. Responding to SDG 2's goal of eradicating hunger, An Jia Goods Banks mechanism helps and supports poor and vulnerable groups who are suffering from hunger.
In Christmas 2022, we organized a canned food drive on campus for the An Jia Goods Bank, hoping to turn knowledge into practice for SDG 2.
If we all work together, there are many things we can do to end world hunger.
Our school organizes related Christmas celebrations every year. Christmas Fun is one of the traditional activities. The principal will dress up as Santa Claus and lead a group of students to distribute candy around the campus. This traditional activity has been carried out for nearly 20 years and continues to this day.
In order to let the teachers and students who received the candy feel that receiving the candy was more meaningful, we changed the name of the event to Christmas CAN be more than fun, and everyone needed to donate canned food before receiving the candy. In this way, we hoped to convey that the true meanings of Christmas are kindness and giving. At the same time, we also introduced the An Jia Goods Bank near our school to all the teachers and students so that they can donate at any time in the future to help the underprivileged.
