Department of Humanities and Social Science

My primary research interests are in Linguistic Typology, Syntax, and Pragmatics. My recent works focus on the typology and grammaticalization of voice and copula constructions. I am also interested in language and communication studies from an acquisition and cognitive processing perspective. 

I did my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi.  Currently, I am associated with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai.
