As a way forward strategy, and holding on to the aims and aspirations of the 21st Century teaching and learning, in addition to facing the challenges of the Education 4.0, I always believe that I must give my best to the whole world, as the phrase goes: ‘Give your best to the world, and the best will come back to you’. I aim to give out the best in me, so that everyone and everybody can earn the best things surrounding me.
Apart from that, I also make it a point to expand my knowledge and expertise to learn and participate in teaching and learning programs organised by the ministry and the university. One most intriguing program I joined was the Educator 4.0 Intensive program by Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia on 5-6 August 2018 and facilitated by Prof Dato’ Dr. Mohd. Amin Embi of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad of Universiti Putra Malaysia. Aimed at producing 600 lecturers who are equipped to lead fellow lecturers to face the challenges of Education 4.0, the program at UUM was participated by 25 aspiring and enthusiastic lecturers.
Even though I do not expect anything in return to my knowledge and skills which I share with my students, I always believe that everything happens for a reason. Hence, I make sure that my intention is straightened to the will and cause of Allah s.w.t. With this understanding, I would know that it is the cause of Allah s.w.t. that I am now in the academia, a profession which is very close to my heart.
