The new nighttime offerings at Dinoland USA will bring the land back to its roots as a highly themed story-centric environment that leans on the campiness of 1950s roadside attractions. The personality of the Dino Institute that is mostly on display in the little details found within the land's shops and restaraunts will be out in full force as character actors come out to play amongst dozens of balloons, bubbles, and other various blow-up-able things.
The main draw here will be a series of large scale Thanksgiving Day style balloon floats that hover directly above the Chester and Hester area. Two balloons will be out at a time, one carnivore and one herbivore, and will rotate as the night goes on. The balloons provide ample photo op potential for the Instagram crowd with the added bonus of them being levitated above the guests making for many great angles without having to wait in a long line for that Kodak moment.
In addition to the Balloon photo ops, there will be "Bubble Parties" in the Chester and Hester area by way of a cannon blowing out hundreds of non-toxic, allergy friendly soap bubbles into the area. Each time the bubbles are dispersed they will be a different color, leading to the whole area being a bonafide rainbow wonderland. A live DJ playing remixes of "dinosaur" themed hit songs will also be present to round out the area's party atmosphere.
Inside the Dino Institute side of the land, roaming character actors will be the main draw with a first of his kind Dr. Seeker walk-around character being the star attraction, complete with his famous dinosaur hand puppet. Seeker and the other Dino Institute professors will regale guests with stories of their time travel escapades, including what is essentially a sequel story to the Dinosaur attraction about what happened when Aladar got loose after showing up in a Time Rover.
Inside the Boneyard a special balloon artist will be giving out very elaborate balloon dinosaurs that are much more intricate than the usual balloon animal style. Out of respect for the safety of the animals regular sized balloons will not be featured in this event, but the balloon art should serve as a worthy substitute.
