I highly recommend watching all of these sites on PC or in desktop mode if you are here via phones or tablet devices.
These are the techniques I explored during the workshops when I attended University of Worcester in England. I am very familiar with all of them and therefore can apply them in my artworks which creates a deep understanding of what I want to achieve when creating my art.
During my stay I have submitted lots of work and gathered it here in one space to show and elaborate how I do things.
I have added a table of contents, so it might be easier to navigate through the artworks for anyone who visits this website.
Also I highly recommend to watch all of these sites on PC or in desktop mode if you are here via phones or tablet devices. To enable so, proceed to the three dots in the top right corner of your browser and check Desktop site.
Enjoy!
As shown in the picture, we were encouraged to look for letters in the objects, buildings, perspective... or make the letters out of objects. This task definitely helped me and boosted my imagination.
Preparing few lineart sketches for the stamps
Creation of stamps
Stamping on paper
Exploring how light and shading can change just the way we draw the object
Working with charcoal is one of the best ways to learn how to shade the subject in the picture
Here is the final project I have made about famous American pilot Jerrie Cobb. She had done lots of great voluntary work.
This art is just random, we were supposed to fill our sketchbooks during Covid with pictures.
This is my own commission for an e-sport team in PUBG Mobile game.
One of my favorite works, I managed to use warm colors to introduce warm season, in the picture, I have also selected some brushes and patterns to develop details in the background.
In this lesson I have learned and understood how enlarging, stretching, shrinking and zooming can make particular object or character that I want to draw more expressive and characteristic just simply based on the look of it.
I used few of techniques we learned to try and create characters and objects in the ways that best describe their state.
Dying plant (drawn very lightly with pale colors, and bending towards the ground)
Ghost (used a disturbed lineart to give it the sense of transparency)
Cactus (spikes of course)
Rotting apple (waves and fliew that make it obvious that it is not edible anymore)
Crocodile (I tried stretching the crocodile and making his mouth bigger than the body to put emphasis on the part that is the most dangerous one)
Wet dog (the color difference is to highlight the dog is shaking the water of)
Arms of the man (stretching them because the bags are heavy)
I was encouraged to develop my own brush set as you can see here. Later I used those brushes to create some artwork.
This is one of my favorite works since I managed to make this wolf look like as if it has lots of fur on its body using the lines and shading.
The art of representing 3D objects on a 2D surface so as to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other.
Although I do not like this picture much, it is still important to show that we artists are not perfect and we go through process where we need to try and fail...
For example in this picture I used ink on the wet paper and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I applied water only to spots that I wanted to color and it brought to light a very different outcome than on the previous picture.
