I highly recommend watching all of these sites on PC or in desktop mode if you are here via phones or tablet devices.
Morphing
Morphing is a special effect used in animation that transforms one image or shape into another through the seamless transition.
In this task I explored my imagination and creativity and I tried new things that I wanted to try before. I was really satisfied with the outcome.
We used Stop motion application on our smartphones and took a picture of every page twice.
Timing
In this lecture I understood how an object changes its shape when it contacts the ground. I also learned that in order to get the best result from your animation you need to also understand how much the objects weights.
Here is the example of 3 balls where you can actually distinguish which one is the lightest and which ine is the heaviest.
In this particular animation I took my original drawings and put them in the application where I could add more to my animation. Everything you see in here, has been drawn.
Cycles
In this session I have understood how cycles work. I learned that cycle is used for a subject that has a continuos movement which doesnt change. It can be used for fire, water, flag, moving landscape in the backround... I had to take many attempts with the flag, but I made it at the end.
Motion that has a repeating pattern is called cyclic motion (or periodic motion). The time it takes to complete one full cycle, such as one rotation, is called the period.
Forces and erratic animation
In this lesson we were asked to make a paper plane and then we recorded each other throwing these planes. We used our videos as reference and made a paper plane animation.
Gates and poses
In animation, a walk cycle is a series of frames or illustrations drawn in sequence that loop to create an animation of a walking character. The walk cycle is looped over and over, thus having to avoid animating each step again.
Besides the apparent move of the legs, many more details are necessary for a convincing walk cycle, like animation timing, movement of the arms, head and torsion of the whole body. animating each step again.
Push and pull
reference
I found this task the most challenging from all of them. Despite having very few equipment, I think I was able to pull it off. In my first attempts I had a little poblem with the pose I used.
In the "heavy" video I finally understood how the body movement and posture influences the full animation. It is very obvious that the box the person is carrying is heavy.
