After completing my current internship, my plan is to scale back on outside commitments due to a hectic upcoming semester. Balancing 20 hours of part-time work with 10 hours of internship has been challenging, impacting my social life and academic performance. Next semester, I aim to secure a computer science-related internship or job with fewer than 20 hours per week commitment to focus on academic success.
To achieve this, I'll research and apply to relevant companies, tailoring my resume and writing personalized cover letters. Attending networking events will help me connect with hiring managers, and make the job search process easier. These efforts will expand my professional network, enhance my resume, and increase competitiveness in the field.
While I haven't secured my next step yet, I'm committed to effective time management and staying vigilant for networking opportunities. These steps will not only improve my GPA but also deepen my understanding of course material. Ultimately, achieving these goals will contribute positively to my future career prospects, despite the challenges posed by upcoming classes. I'm determined to give my best effort, knowing it will pay off in the long run.
