Ally McBeal is like my spirit animal. I was quite convinced that David E Kelley created her with me in mind, except prettier and way more successful. I hung on every episode those first few years, in particular one titled Angels and Blimps, in which a young boy enlists Ally to sue God for his terminal illness.

I’m not much of a believer in one entity, but more of a Universe follower. In my head, I blend elements of various philosophies and religions like a malleable ball that I can shape and examine until it makes sense to me. I look at how it has evidenced itself in my life, and look for ways to apply it in moving forward. Life’s journey, and all that. This comparison of blimps to a god in the sky stuck with me all of these years, so when looking for something to name this movement, it was what made sense in my head.

Whatever your beliefs, I hope you find peace in them.

The art behind Angels & Blimps is created by a very talented artist by the name of Kevin Goss. You can see more of his work here.
