Uca Ventus Harmonicae is a installation composed of more than 100 ceramic pieces resembling a mangrove presented over sea salt. Every piece has a musical ability if blown and since each one is of different shape and size every piece also has a unique sound. 15 of them were recorded at a studio. Two speakers were hidden to play the sounds recorded at the space. The chapel at the "Antiguo arsenal de la marina española en la puntilla" in Old San Juan was specifically chosen for the perfect acoustic qualities it possesses.
"I like to imagen its a real thing. Uca Ventus Harmonicae or commonly known as harmonic wind mangrove is a species of mangroves that grows in big numbers on high levels of salinity. Though now extinct, when blown by wind they made the most harmonic sounds."
