Nothing is impossible, just challenging
Discussing my academic and career goals, sharing my current course work, and listing my values and strengths
Hello,
I am first-generation and low-income. A trilingual is fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. A proud Mexican American who was raised with parents willing to fight through impenetrable moments. Growing up, my parents always taught me nothing is impossible, just challenging, and challenging means you can overcome it.
I am currently a student at California State University San Marcos studying for a B.A. in Biochemistry and a minor in Visual Arts. My plan with this degree is to become a veterinarian and create a nonprofit organization for animals that have been abused, neglected, or disabled so they can get re-adopted. By establishing this nonprofit organization, I can create a safe place for animals who could be legible to get re-adopted. But these are not the only dreams that I aspire to achieve.
I am an artist who specializes in surrealism and realism artwork. I have been in multiple showcases from San Diego County, for instance, I was in the 9th District PTA Reflection Program from December 2017 through November 2019. I have also been in leadership and organization programs like Link Crew Leader in Sage Creek High School, in which I was mentoring incoming first-year students and managed activities. Volunteered in TRIO SSS Welcome Days for incoming first-year students by advising and counseling them for a smooth transition into college.
I'm the type of person who is family-oriented and resilient, thus why I choose this image because it best represents me. This image is a drawing I did in high school, it represents my family. The words used are written in Runes, an accident work used by Vikings around 2000 AD. The drawing is Viking-themed because of the resilience and equality Vikings carried in their beliefs.
