My toddler has been with Angela for approximately a year. When he went to Angela for this first half-day that was the longest he had been away from me and I hadn't even driven my car without him in it by a year old. It was a lot for me to leave him with someone else and Angela was the first person to make me feel I could, and I had interviewed two others. Angela has always made me feel like Taylon is safe and all his needs are being met, that he is having fun, playing and learning. I love that the family dog Frank was introduced after Taylon started and that he has gotten to experience having Frank in his days, as he loves him very much. The other kids have also been an awesome bunch. The place is always clean and tidy and the day is structured well. Angela is trustworthy, reliable and talented with the kids. I know when Taylon goes there he is truly looked after and gets excited to go.

Angela cared for our daughter from 11 months until she was nearly 3 years old. I really appreciated Angela’s flexibility when I was adjusting to returning to work and our daughter was adjusting to being away from me. To begin with, we did early days and gradually increased the hours. Our daughter always slept well at Angela’s house, which I really appreciated. Some of the techniques and routines really helped us get her to sleep at home as well! Our daughter loved going to Angela’s house and developed so many new skills. Angela guided her through so many transitions with ease (learning to walk and talk, moving from two naps to one, baby food to finger food etc). It always felt like we were working closely together and although we were not there during the day, Angela included us in lots of decisions. We were also provided with a detailed and honest account of what happened throughout the day on Storypark. It was the smoothest transition to care we could ever have asked for and are so grateful to Angela for being such an awesome carer and educator. Anyone would be lucky to have her look after their child and I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Angela has been an in-home carer for all 3 of our girls, who are now (almost) 9, 5 and 3. It was really daunting looking for an in-home carer for the first time, but we knew that Angela was the perfect fit for us as soon as we met. She has become a huge part of our lives over the 8 years that we have worked with her. Angela is calm, thoughtful and purposeful in her interactions with the children in her care, and all of our girls benefited hugely from the calm, loving environment and the consistent routines. Our girls all have very different personalities and different challenges. But Angela has considered responses that are individual to each of our children. Even at their ages now, the girls love to visit Angela (and her daughter Dyani) for an after school play, or for an ‘Angela day’ in the school holidays. I feel very fortunate that those important relationships are ongoing. I am very happy to speak with any parents considering in-home childcare generally, or Angela specifically. It’s been a really positive experience for our family, and one that I have no hesitation recommending.

We have nothing but praise for the care, kindness and development opportunities that Angela provided our daughter. Our daughter stayed with Angela right up to school age, with our son also being part of the small group for a year too. Our two children enjoyed a wide range of activities, trips out and experiences, all of which were captured and recorded, providing us with some amazing photos and stories.
