Anaideia - in Diogenes' philosophy actions taken in spite of accepted norms.
Apathy - cutting off from one's urges and passions.
Autarky - self-sufficiency, one of the main cynic's goals.
Cynicism - a philosophical system started by Antisthenes. Cynics' subject of the analysis was virtue, which they understood as knowledge. They were nominalists. They were mostly known by their way of life, that was probably started by Diogenes of Sinope.
Nominalism - philosophical belief, according to which the general terms exist only in the human mind.
Parrhesia - in Diogenes' philosophy speakng out in spite of accepted norms.
