The first Art Session with the Migrant workers was extremely productive. It was my first time teaching art and so I was finding it a lttle bit difficult. Luckily i got it under control, I struggled a little bit as it was hard to manage everyone as all of them needed help as for some it was their first time ever. However, for beginners they did extremely well. Overall the session went absolutely amazing! The migrant workers were extremely enthusiastic about the art and they all cooperated. There wasn't much of a language barrier as most of them had been taking english classes and also I made it clear as to what I was saying. At first I was only expecting 3 migrant workers to come, however in the end 5 came. For my second session on the same day only 2 migrant workers were going to come, however 5 came. They were all interested and wanted to try.Â
I had to work on my organization and affective skills.
I made a few to do lists.
I also arranged all the color palettes before hand so that I can quickly focus on teaching.
My PP supervisor, provided the template.
It was very helpful as even when I was helping one person others could look at the template.
AGWO representative requested for the second session and I knew that my project was successful.
This was the second session. I chose a nature theme and designed it myself. Migrant workers indicated nature theme in the survey.
