For several years I have been an active member of the Warwick SIAM-IMA Student Chapter, serving as seminar organiser and president. The chapter aims to promote and encourage applied mathematical and computational research at Warwick by bringing together a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate students from different academic disciplines. This facilitates the growth of the interdisciplinary research community and provides a platform for both students and staff to showcase the real-world and industrial applications of their research to a diverse audience.
For questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to contact our committee members, or send us an email at siam@warwick.ac.uk .
We host the weekly Statistics, Probability, Analysis and Applied Mathematics (SPAAM) seminar series throughout the academic terms, which showcases some of the applied mathematics research currently being undertaken here at Warwick by PhD students.
If you would be interested in giving a talk please contact the seminar organisers whose contact details can be found here.
Alongside the Oxford Student Chapter we organised the AMP24 Workshop and Conference (an article in SIAM News on the conference can be found here) and the recent AMP25 Workshop and Conference.
