I am currently a Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Dept. of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley, working with Daniel Stolper. I recently left the U.S. Geological Survey where I was a Mendenhall Fellow at the Central Energy Resources Science Center with Geoff Ellis.

I am an isotope geochemist with interests in understanding generation, migration, and surface expression of natural (geologic) hydrogen.

My current research focuses on (1) connecting surface measurements of hydrogen and associated gases to abiotic and biotic processes occurring in the subsurface, (2) using isotopic compositions of environmental and experimentally generated hydrogen as fingerprints of generation mechanisms, and (3) clumped-isotope and triple oxygen isotope measurements of carbonates, with a focus on diagenetic alteration in deep ocean cores.
