Al igual que cualquier acto creativo, PATTI es una búsqueda de mi voz. De ahí surge una historia simple, silenciosa, introspectiva, ajena a una temporalidad específica, alejada de eventos de trascendencia social. En el personaje principal vacío mis intereses artísticos, pero además, la confusión que me genera sentir un llamado a un espectro tan amplio de disciplinas, en el que hasta la sencilla reparación de una vieja máquina de escribir se convierte en un catártico acto artístico. ¿Qué pasa si no hay nadie para regresarte a tierra desde lo alto de un sueño despierto? Entonces se aprende la lección: Es vital ser tu primer motivación para llevar a cabo el trabajo del artista. PATTI es una manera que hasta ahora no había encontrado de representar mi experiencia personal: Un amplio interés en áreas de creación bastante diversas, la insatisfacción de limitarse a una especialización; la habitación como espacio de trabajo, experimentación artística y reflejo del ser, así como un inmenso goce de la soledad de este espacio, especialmente por las noches. Por todo ello, PATTI es una historia muy personal. Busco, al igual que la protagonista, cambiar esos hábitos en nuevas etapas de la vida.

Like any creative act, PATTI is a search for my own voice. From that search emerges a story that is simple, silent, and introspective—detached from any specific temporality and removed from events of social significance. In the main character, I pour my artistic interests, but also the confusion born from feeling called to such a broad spectrum of disciplines, where even the simple repair of an old typewriter becomes a cathartic artistic act. What happens if there is no one to pull you back to earth from the heights of a waking dream? It is then that the lesson is learned: it is vital to be your own primary motivation in carrying out the work of an artist. PATTI is a way—one I hadn't found until now—to represent my personal experience: a wide-ranging interest in diverse creative fields; the dissatisfaction of being confined to a single specialization; the room as a workspace, a place for artistic experimentation, and a reflection of the self; and an immense joy in the solitude of that space, especially at night. For all these reasons, PATTI is a deeply personal story. I seek, much like the protagonist, to transform these habits as I enter new stages of life.
