As this world of technology grows exponentially, compounded by our current need for distance learning, I feel assured in my abilities as an educator to connect with my students via technology as well as prepare students for a technological future.

I challenged myself to learn a new-to-me application that is used by me mentor teacher in my fourth grade classroom. I started investigating this tool and set a goal to post in Seesaw every time I visited my 4th graders. Here are some of my favorite things about this amazing platform.
Seesaw is a tool used by students, teachers, and families as a way to promote learning and connectedness. It is an easy-to-use app that fosters communication and creativity! Not only can students upload their work onto the app, they can also record videos and comment on other classmates work.
Not only can students comment on each other's work, as teacher I can interact with my students and give like, comment and give feedback.
Not only can students and teachers post comments and engage in student work, so can family members and loved ones! Seesaw is an app that parents and families can be linked to and connect with classroom goings- on. They can see student work and make comments themselves!
My favorite aspect of Seesaw is the ability to send photos and videos in order to give families a window into our classroom, promoting a bridge from school to home and keeping parents and loved ones included in our work.
