Hello! I'm Andrea Carpio, a passionate digital artist who loves to tell stories
I am a 23-year-old Mexican girl, originally from the capital of Chiapas, graduated in Digital Arts with a specialization in Animation from the Tecnologico de Monterrey campus Queretaro and currently studying a Master’s Degree in Postproduction and VFX, Motion Graphics and 3D Model Techniques at CEI Sevilla.
Since I was little I have always liked to write stories, so throughout my academic life I have had the opportunity to direct and write short films, especially in the animation format. I want to express my ideas and feelings with each of my stories, share a vision to the world that people can identify with, and explore the creative possibilities of digital art.
My ability to tell stories through animation has led me to collaborate with the Despierta PASS organization, animating narratives from Renee Salinas' book "Efecto Gracias", which have been screened at the World Peace Organization. We also worked the animated biographies of Yuriko Kuronuma, an internationally renowned violinist, and Saburo Oonishi, her painting teacher; animations that have been used to present her children's books in Mexico and Japan.
I aso love illustrating and telling stories through drawing. I can adapt to any style with ease. I usually use pastel colors, but I am also exploring new color palettes and digital black ink drawings.
I am passionate about teaching. I spent two years volunteering at Escuelita Virtual, teaching primary school children and English classes in secondary school. If life has taught me anything, it's that if there is something more beautiful than learning, it's the value of sharing your knowledge.
I used to work in the communication department of my university, doing content for social media, photography, graphic design, recording and video editing.
