Dr. Jahanshahi-Anbuhi's research interest includes the development of low-cost and easy-to-use lab-on-chip systems for applications in global health issues from point-of-care diagnostics to food and water contamination assessment. To be more specific, currently, the projects are focused on using paper and/or polymer as a platform for the development of such biosensors. These biosensors can be in the form of tablets for environmental applications or in the form of microfluidic paper-based biosensors which allows multiple assays to be performed concurrently and are useful for point-of-care diagnostics.
