In traditional demonology, mythical creatures belong neither to good nor evil: they are figures of boundary and transition that reflect the inner states of a person. 

While working on LIMINAL, the UPSLOWUSE team, together with cultural experts, researched folk and historical sources, focusing not on the external images of demons, but on their psychology and logic of existence. These principles became the basis for the design and plasticity of the characters.

The central idea of the collection sounds tense and straightforward: demons live among us. Or maybe they are us. In the context of contemporary Ukrainian reality, LIMINAL captures a state of constant transition — between chaos and transformation.
