The Social Skills & Friendships Presentation introduces social skills, different types of verbal and non-verbal communication as well as the different types of friendships.
The presentation was created to teach students the different ways that they can implement social skills with their friends, peers, family and others. The verbal and non-verbal communication skills were added to help students identify the different forms of communication and promote the ones that could be more beneficial to them. Students also learned about the different types of friendships and they learned that friendships may grow during their different stages or may change over time.
Positive & Negative Behavior Presentation
The Positive & Negative Behaviors Presentation provides a list of both positive and negative behaviors and coping skills that can be used to substitute negative behaviors for positive behaviors.
The presentation was created to identify the negative behaviors and the consequences that the student may receive during these types of behaviors. The presentation promotes positive behaviors and lists different types of coping skills that can help students change their mindset and have positive behaviors.
Stress & Coping Skills
The Stress & Coping Skills Presentation identifies stress, the symptoms, types of stress and coping skills that can help students overcome it.
The presentation was created to help students identify the first signs of stress, the difference between the good and bad types of stress. Along with how stress can be experienced and coping skills that can help to decrease the levels of stress.
Transition to Middle School
The Transition to Middle School Presentation provides middle school bell schedules, programs, courses, orientation, and grade point average points to help students understand the importance of GPA's and how to calculate them.
The presentation was created to share the bell schedules of the two most prevalent middle schools that students at Franklin Elementary will be attending. There is also a list of the courses, programs, clubs and tutoring support that each school site offers. This will allow the students to have an idea of what each school has to offer and the grade point average that is needed to join certain programs, and clubs. It also provides an example of how to calculate the points and understand the steps to obtain the GPA.

The Hybrid School of Innovation Virtual Counseling Classroom was created to provide ample resources to address the individual needs of every student.
Virtual Counseling Classroom
The Virtual Counseling Classroom consists of resources that range from counseling presentations, coping skills, mindfulness, college information, FAFSA, scholarships, tutoring, online learning, family support resources and the counseling form. This artifact was created to help address the individual academic, social/emotional and career needs of the student.
The Virtual Counseling Classroom was created as a tool for students and their families to access among their different environments. I used technology to research and gather these resources. It has been a great tool that has helped to support students and meet or support their individual needs.
The Child Abuse & Undocumented Immigrants Presentation addresses the risks, laws, and resources that are available for undocumented children that are enduring abuse.

The Child Abuse & Undocumented Immigrants Presentation provides resources for undocumented immigrants that are being abused. Unfortunately, children that are undocumented are at a higher risk of being abused and are not reporting the abuse due to the fear of being deported. Fortunately, there are laws, agencies and advocates that protect the children regardless of their legal status.
Thepresentation was created to raise awareness among undocumented families. I worked with a student that was undocumented and endured abuse. The student was not aware of their or their families rights. Fortunately, they received the resources and support that they needed. Every child is protected by the law, has a voice, rights, and autonomy.
The College Information Presentation was created for high school seniors to provide them with resources that can help answer questions that they have regarding their higher educational goals.
College Information Final
The presentation incorporates the mindset standards and behavior standards of the ASCA National Model. It offers resources for high school seniors and addresses the A-G high school graduation requirements. Additionally, it incorporates information for college admission and financial aid applications. It also provides UC, CSU, community college, and private college deadlines, and how to access or create their California Colleges account.
The presentation was created to help support high school seniors and provide ample options for their goals after high school. It also answers questions that parents may have about the different 2-year college and 4-year university requirements. The presentation also provides direct links to the college and university websites.
The FAFSA Presentationprovides students and their families with information and deadlines for financial aid.

For example, Federal Student Aid, State Student Aid, Institutional Aid, and Scholarships. Additionally, it lists the qualifications, eligibility and deadlines to apply for financial assistance.
The presentation was created to provide students and their parents or caregivers with the different links, and/or information to apply for financial assistance and support the student's higher educational goals. I went into the FAFSA and the U.S. Department of Education to gather the information and resources. The tool helped students to understand the importance of financial aid and deadlines to submit their applications.

The presentation was created in an English and Spanish version for parents and students at the Parent Center and the district. The presentation addresses the need to establish a daily routine, create rules, take notes, and use organization tools. This helps students to be successful among their different environments and understand the importance of time management and organization.
The presentation provides organizational tools that can help the student manage their time accordingly, and implement good study habits to achieve academic success. Parents and students provided feedback and shared that they would implement the majority of the tools and information to create better study habits and also stay organized.
The Human Brain & Growth Mindset Presentation provides a breakdown and functions of the brain and demonstrates how a fixed mindset can become a growth mindset.
Human Brain Growth Mindset
The presentation was created for students that were encountering academic barriers and participated in group sessions. It incorporated the mindset standards and behavior standards of the ASCA National Model. The presentation shows sections, and functions of the human brain. Students learned how a fixed mindset can affect their learning and decisions. They became aware of the importance of creating S.M.A.R.T. short and long-term goals. The artifact helped students to identify how a fixed mindset can turn into a growth mindset. In fact, students learned that celebrities and athletes endure a lot of challenges when reaching their goals. However, this has not deterred them from achieving their goals.
The presentation introduces a fixed mindset and compares it to a growth mindset. Students understood that they have the ability to overcome any obstacles or challenges when pursuing their short and long-term goals. Students identified one fixed mindset and turned it into a growth mindset. At the end of the group sessions they realized that the human brain can change into a growth mindset in any environment.
The Hybrid School of Innovation 2020-2021 Semester 1: D's & F's Group Results provides the tools that were used to create S.M.A.R.T. goals, promote a growth mindset and the data for the decrease in D's & F's after the group sessions were completed.

The presentation was created to show stakeholders, such as administration, teachers, school staff and parents or caregivers the data and student outcomes after the completion of the group sessions. Students identified S.M.A.R.T goals and changed their mindsets, this allowed them to decrease their D's & F's and improve their overall grades.
The presentation shows the importance of creating data charts to measure the beginning of group sessions with the outcome; in this case there were improvements. This allowed the students to understand the importance of creating and obtaining measurable and reasonable goals to ensure they achieve academic success.
